Canadian creator of fun and award-winning media-based attractions, Triotech, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Triotech and the out-of-home (OOH) leisure industry both have a lot to celebrate as Triotech celebrates 20 years as an industry leader. As reported by Global Amusements & Play, “The company was founded in 1999 by current President and CEO Ernest Yale with a handful of key collaborators. It has since evolved to become a recognized global leader in media-based attractions.”
“We’d like to thank all our customers and partners who trusted us and participated in our success. We love to say that we’re not 20 years old… but 20 years young! We still have a lot of passion, energy, and ideas. We see a bright future for the attractions industry as a whole and we are glad to be part of it!” commented Ernest Yale, President and CEO of Triotech.
Triotech has now sold more than 350 attractions to over 60 countries worldwide. Over the past decade, 110 million guests have experienced a Triotech ride.
Triotech Attractions Unveiled At Tokyo Dome City
Triotech, creator of award-winning media-based attractions, has announced the opening of two XD Dark Ride interactive theatres at Tokyo Dome City Attractions in Japan.
“Located side by side, the two XD Dark Ride interactive theatres have been themed in blue and yellow and each offers a distinct selection of Triotech exclusive movies titles. The attraction named “Gan Gun Battlers” has welcomed on average over 1,200 visitors per day since its opening on March 23rd.
“Japan has always been a leader in media-based gaming and we are very proud that Tokyo Dome City choose Triotech’s attractions. I had the pleasure to visit the park a few days ago and it’s amazing! People are having a blast, it is always fun to see people having the same big smile when they experience our attractions,” commented Ernest Yale, President and CEO of Triotech.
The Tokyo Dome City is located in Bunkyo, Tokyo and has an annual attendance of 35 million visitors. The 2 Triotech interactive theaters are located within the amusement park Tokyo Dome City Attractions.
Triotech will be showing its latest products at the IAAPA Expo Asia in Shanghai at Booth #1602 from June 12th to 14th.
What this could mean? Triotech, also known as the ‘rebels of the industry’, has been our industry leader in the XD motion simulator sector most of its 20 years. Triotech has also dominated the coin-operated video game category starting with Mad Wave Motion Theater 2 Player Sit Down and then Typhoon Lagoon 2 Player Sit Down that has had the #1 Ranking video game for the past 67 months. [Note that The Redemption & FEC Report has placed Virtual Rabbids in the video category, so technically Typhoon Lagoon is #2].
As we all follow the latest technology innovations being introduced by the movie industry, it is comforting to know that Triotech is giving amusement parks and family entertainment centers and game operators an opportunity to compete for those same demographic customers. Our industry is indeed grateful! [Note that I have visited the Triotech headquarters in Montreal and also spent time with Ernest and his wife Gen visiting Red Square in Moscow, a very special bucket list experience.
