SegaAs reported by InterGame, “Sega’s newest skill-based redemption game, Power Roll, which was launched at the Amusement Expo International in Las Vegas, US, during March 2019, has experienced early success. [See What this could mean at the bottom for actual 3-week Revenues for The Redemption & FEC Report July data]

“Power Roll is performing extremely well at all our test locations typically being one of the very top-earning games. The word about this income topping performance has spread and demand is soaring beyond our expectations. We have increased our production, and new units are ‘Power Rolling’ off our production line as we speak,” said Vince Moreno, sales manager at Sega.

Power Roll features a tall, eye-catching yellow and red cabinet with attractive lighting effects. Combined with a large top header and curved see-through Perspex. The brightly lit oversized ball-shaped lever and colorful playfield, add to the attraction of this game.

Players need to pull a lever with just the right amount of force, to launch the ball up the ramp and into the bonus ticket zone. As the ball rolls up, it swings the stoppers creating a mesmerizing mechanical attraction for players. There are other ticket values along the playfield so players always win tickets.

What this could mean? Power Roll was installed in our Test Location #1 on July 11, 2019. Here are its revenue and rankings for its first three weeks of operation always placing in the Top 10 out of 75 Games:

  • WE 7-19-19 – $2,256 @ 17% payout – Rank #7 Redemption & Rank #8 Overall
  • WE 7-26-19 – $3,178 @ 19% payout – Rank #4 Redemption & Rank #5 Overall
  • WE 8-02-19 – $3,252 @ 24% payout – Rank #4 Redemption & Rank #4 Overall

This is simply amazing for a new game to accomplish these kinds of earnings and end up with the Overall Rank of #4 for July 2019. Note that our Alpha Team tweaked the game very slightly to increase the point payout % from 17% to 24% and see how even this small adjustment improves the revenue rank. Congratulations to Sega.  It appears you have a winner on your hands.  In a few weeks The Redemption & FEC Report July/August will be out and my prediction is that with its solid revenues for July, that Power Roll will be ranked in the Top 10 for sure, perhaps even Top 5.
