Foundations Entertainment University began its 14th consecutive year with the completion of Class 38, June 14-16. A total of 22 attendees either currently operating or considering opening a family entertainment center (FEC) gathered at the Doubletree Hotel in Chicago for three days of seminars, consultations, and a tour of a local entertainment center. Class 38 was also the first to take part in the launch of FEU’s YouTube Channel.
“This had to be the most highly educated and business-experienced class we have ever had at Foundations,” said FEU Co-Regent Frank Seninsky of Amusement Entertainment Management (AEM). “Their questions kept all of the speakers on their toes.”
Class 38 included representatives from entertainment facilities and FEC chains, construction companies, and hotels, as well as lawyers, accountants, real estate agents, and more. Their education included seminars on financial feasibility, planning, design, financing, development, marketing, and managing a successful location-based entertainment business.

FEU will continue to update its channel with each new class.
“It has been a very informative three days,” said Shalini Vij of the Hang Out in New Delhi, India. “I have learned a lot, and have heard different viewpoints. I got expert advice and great suggestions.” FEU is a “great platform to meet like-minded people in the industry,” he added.
