Crazy Candy Factory – developed by Blue Monkey Vending – is the World’s first digital sweet vending machine, displaying 10 selections of bulk candy.

As reported by Global Amusements & Play, “Each of the machine’s 10 hoppers holds 3kg (6.6 pounds) of candy, which are accessible via a touchscreen panel interface with 200g (0.44 pounds) approx. delivery per cup. Food registered, CE marked and country-specific compliant, Crazy Candy Factory is also available with a Vegetarian range of sweets.

“This new fun approach to vending is supported by hygienic dispensers, limited wastage, and theft [deterrent] and easy maintenance. Additionally, standing at 2.2m x 1.6m x 0.7m, the machine occupies less space than a regular pick n mix unit, with higher turnover per sq. foot.

Crazy Candy Factory is suitable for amusement parks, FECs, leisure centers, trampoline parks, bowling centers, outdoor attractions – and more!

What this could mean? I thought this would be a fun addition to the Daily News as we are always looking to cover new technologies being applied to staple products in our industry. Here is a good example of how Blue Monkey Vending (bluemonkey.com) has created a unique niche market for their new digital sweet vending machines.

Customers get to pick up to 5 selections of the 10 selections to create their own mix. Operators can use the ‘remote inventory system’ to carefully monitor the remaining inventory in each of the 10 selections and minimize restocking visits while maximizing revenue and profits. Blue Monkey says that ROI is approximately 4 months. [Can you imagine what additional revenues can be had in an FEC where ‘small redemption ticket bundles’ could be contained in one of the selection boxes? I wonder if that ticket box would empty first?
